What is Natural? It is something that can be seen or can be scientifically identified. Hence, Supernatural or “Supra-Natural” is a something which scientifically dos not exist. It can also be defined as an object or thought beyond nature. So, what is Supernatural actually?
There have been a lot of brainstorming and research to gather clues of Supernaturalism but no research has yet been able to establish the bracket of words that can describe Supernatural. Arguably, Supernatural is also associated with magic or sorcery. It is believed by some that Supernaturalism is a power to perform such acts which nature cannot or which go against the nature. Re-incarnation, for example, is believed to be supernatural. In a typical scenario of re-incarnation, a person remembers his past births. But there is no scientific ability to prove that person is right when he says he has been re-incarnated. Even I can get up and say that I was the king of Persia, in my last birth. Do I have anything to prove my claim? No.
Supernatural-ism is also included in activities like calling a departed soul through plan Chet. So, if people have performed such an Act, which means that Supernaturalism and the phenomenon exist. I have seen Yoga Shastris lift themselves above the ground in air, through meditation. We surely can call this something which is Supernatural. Most of us have heard people claiming that they have seen ghosts. However, this is hard to believe, but then what is Plan Chet?
Some scholars believe that Supernatural is something which will become natural tomorrow. We assumed lightning and sound to be supernatural till the time we came out with a scientific reason for the occurrence of Light and Sound. The human mind is developing every day and we are becoming scientifically stronger gradually. Till the time the scientific reasons are discovered to eliminate Super naturalism, let us presume that “Super Natural” phenomenon exists.
