Over Exercise – Not recommended

Exercising is no doubt god to keep you fit and energetic but over exercising is not good either. Again the valid statement, “excess of anything is not good”. Exercise should not become an obsession. There is a specific limit of everything that you do for the body. Exercising in excess keeps you out of the required natural routine of the body. More than 3 hours of exercise in a day is not advisable.

People who over exercise tend to cut their time from their other responsibilities. They develop diet disorders and suffer from sleep disorders too. Diet disorders are common cause of Anorexia. Anorexia is a disease where a person in an attempt to loose weight, controls the diet so much that it becomes starvation. People become so obsessed with the want to loose weight, that they don’t even realize that they have lost more than required weight. The problem is that these individuals do not accept that they have lost more than the required weight. Hence it becomes more difficult to repair Anorexia.

Gym goers also suffer from Orthorexia, where people only eat healthy food and are just obsessed with workout, which is detriment to their social and work life.

People who are obsessed with building muscles become prone to taking energy medicines and some take a high dose of stimulants too. This again has tremendous side affects and should be avoided.

People start to avoid their families too when they are into obsessive over exercising. They give lesser time to socialize and to their families. They tend to become isolated from the society and this is a psychological problem.

Keeping healthy is good but avoiding other required necessities for the body is not good. Everything has a limit and so does exercising. Keep yourself fit and not unhealthy from within.
