Time Management

There are only 24 hours in a day. In this immensely competitive world, managing these 24 hours of the day fruitfully is very important. Everybody needs at least 6 hours of rest in a day to keep them active and fresh for the next day.

Management of time is not that a difficult task. You have to be well prepared with a plan of the day, on the previous day. There are certain naturally essential activities that take up some time out from the 24 hours but they are very important to keep the mind and body fresh throughout the 24 hours.

Some very simple tips to manage time are the following:

Never spend more than required time on the dining table. This does not mean that you swallow your meals and get on to work. Most of us have a habit of engaging into a light chit chat during our meals. This is acceptable when you are at home and in leisure, but is highly unacceptable at the work place. Every minute is money at the work place.

One should be a smart worker and should be completely committed towards their work. Remember, every minute that you spend at work is part of the production equation of your company. A smart worker not only pleases the company’s management but also saves targets for oneself. The more you produce, the better incentives you make and also reduce your target for the next day.

You should maintain a time table of your own. A person’s commitment towards the family is as important as the commitment towards work. You should take out some time for the family in a day after you finish your work.

Reach in time where you need to go. By doing this you not only save your time, but other’s time too.

If you are a student, your daily timetable should be preset by yourself. If you give two to three hours of daily study, you do not have to study the whole night just before the exam date.

If you are a merchant or a business man, always open your shop or office at the same time as you opened the office on your first day of work. If you open your business on a regular daily fixed time, you not only save your own time but you also get more customers.

You should always take a break from work once in 6 months. That does not mean that you are always on a vacation. This means that if you take a break, you are relaxed. And when you return from the vacation, you start working with a new vigor.

Take decisions as fast as possible because as said earlier, “A minute wasted is a minute lost. You should always remember, your time is not only precious for you but is equally precious for those who depend upon your time. Proper time management will make you more valuable for your work place and for you as well.
Do not waste time reading this if you have better things to do in life.
