Beckham gets booed in LA

David Beckam returns to LA didn’t pleased all, specially few discontented fans. Cheers turned into booes after the first few ball touch during Major League Soccer where his club played a 2-2 draw with his recent Italian club AC Milan.

The incident turned into worst at half time while he was leaving the pitch, Beckham approached a sections of stand where angry fans was chanting anti Beckham slogans. A few seconds later a fan jumped down and headed towards him before being restraint by security personnel and escorted out of the pitch.

David later insisted that the fan reaction didn’t bother him. And his official version of the story is “One of the guys was saying things that wasn’t very nice. It was stepping over the line,” Beckham said. “I said, ‘You need to calm down and come shake my hand’ and he jumped over.”

Amid the jeers, Beckham played a role in both Galaxy goals. Indeed, after the first goal that gave Milan the lead, Beckham crossed to Landon Donovan who scored the first goal for his team.

Beckham left the game in the 75th minute, waving to a group of supportive fans en route to the bench.

“The cheers in the end drowned out the boos, which was nice,” Beckham said.

There is a lot of speculation on David’s future plans in England. According to the Mail on Sunday, Chelsea and Tottenham are ready to bring the 34-year-old former England captain home; although Beckham said in midweek he was eyeing an eventual return to Italy.
