Unnecessary Criticism

Criticism is the most commonly found practice in our daily lives and almost every body is a critic of someone, something or the other. The question is, does criticism help in any way to improve the object that is criticized? In my opinion, most critics suffer from an inferiority complex and I have noticed that people who criticize usually do not have the ability to do the criticized work perfectly, themselves. There are some people who are well known film critics. God forbid they themselves make a film anytime. I think all the other filmmakers will heavily criticize a film made by a film critic.

Criticizing someone should not be anyone’s business. Not only films we find critics everywhere in anything we do or speak. Our friends are our biggest critics. But how many of them criticize in the right sense? Talking about criticism in the right sense means criticize to improve. Parents criticize a child’s activities to teach him or her, the right way and to stop him or her from doing something wrong. Most friends criticize because they are unable to do what their criticized friend has done. They will not applaud an achievement but will definitely show a better way to do it.

There are a few critics who also start advising about the right way of doing things. The irony is that probably they would have not been able to do the things better than anyone else. Some one has rightly said, “An advice is given by those who have never used it, to those who will never use it”.

Criticize when you also know how to encourage. Or set an example by doing it in a better way. Never think that you know better or more than others. Always criticize your own deeds first and try to improve them. No one certified you as a critic so do not be one.
