World without Light

Imagine a walk on a street in the middle of the night without the street lights. Imagine how scary it is when you travel on a lonely road in the darkest of nights, through a jungle. Imagine how it would be if there were no lights in your office. Imagine if there were no Sun. Imagine driving a Car without the headlights.

It’s completely imaginary to think how it would be without light. Light is one of the most necessary elements of energy for earth. It is light that makes things function naturally. If there were no Sunlight there would have been no tides in the sea. There would have been no plants and there would have been no life. Light is necessary for all the activities of civilization. There was a need of light, that’s why fire was discovered. And look what valuable discovery it was. It brought in a complete revolution in terms of energy. Fire was discovered for ensuring visibility at night. But it brought in a complete revolution to reach the status of the present world.

While we are talking about light, we should also talk about the invention of the Bulb by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879. However, Joseph W Swan had begun working on creation of the electric lamp in 1850 in England. Anyways, the electric bulb brought about a major industrial revolution across the globe. This also reminds of the foundation of the General Electric Company or the better known GE of today in 1892, a brainchild of Thomas Alva Edison. This is how the world got illuminated a century back. Today there are millions of types of lamps available in the market and we really can’t think of a world without illumination.

All said and done but if we really are looking for an answer to the question: How would the world be without light? We need to ask a person who is blind and cant see the illuminated world like we can.
