Original london sightseeing tour

This tour was established in 1951 by the London Transport authority as a service line, actually "Service J" with the date marked as the June 11th of 1951. It was not really a sightseeing tour at first, but a circular cross-town tour going non-stop and operating the route from Buckingham Palace Road over to the South Kensington Station, then Bloomsbury Place and back. The pitching line was officially "around the town for half a crown" and featured a free guide book called "The London Transport Guide Book" with all landmarks and sights along the tour clearly marked, allowing the passengers to identify the places around London by themselves. This company was in business until 1992, when it was sold for the first time and the name "The Original London Sightseeing Tour" was incorporated. This name was kept to the very day, but is currently known as "The Original Tour" in a more colloquial short form. It is considered the largest single tour operation in existence and provides several tours for interested individuals through London on open top double tier busses all the way through the year. What do you get, when you book a tour with the Original London Sightseeing Tour? You get a ticket, which is valid for 48 hours. You are allowed to hop on and off the busses at over 90 stops throughout the several routes. There are live guides available, providing English commentaries and further Multilanguage options. There are also several walking tours on offer; for instance, the changing of the guard walk takes you to the Buckingham Palace, the walk on the wild side takes you to Soho and shows you some music history landmarks and rock 'n roll focal points, including bars, restaurants and other places. The Jack the Ripper walk retells the tale of the infamous killer and takes you around the Tower of London showing the crime scenes and places related to the historic case. The free and included Thames River Cruise takes you on a sightseeing tour of a different kind, allowing you the glimpse of the City from the river. Parents with kids will appreciate the Kids' Club package included with the sightseeing tour, where tour animators provide commentaries geared towards kids and supply your children with the London sightseeing fun pack, including a book and the activity pack.Tour routes include the original "Service J" route, The City Sightseeing Tour, which is also called the tourist tour and features the Multilanguage option and the Kids' Club, and then there is the Loop Line, which has a completely different way through London and the Museum tour.
