Hypertension causes

High blood pressure is also referred to as hypertension and is often expressed as a silent killer. Hypertension occurs mostly without symptoms. But, on an average if your blood pressure increases, you have all possibilities of developing dizziness, headache, ringing ears, nose bleeds and blurred vision. The knowledge of having high blood pressure occurs when people find this during their regular blood pressure checkup. This is normally done by any doctor and is also done cheaply at most pharmacies. Though, there is no apparent symptom, if it is left ignored there are all chances of damaging your organs and it may on the other hand turn to be life-threatening and lead to crucial diseases such as heart disease, kidney failure and stroke.
Hypertension causes when your body hold much water, thereby increasing the volume of blood in your veins, arteries and heart. This augments the pressure against the heart walls as well as blood vessels. It is observed that the heart beats very hard sometimes and even that can elevate the pressure. Situations are the main cause leading to high blood pressure and also cause damage to blood vessels. Blood pressure is normally measured in terms of millimeters of mercury. This is the atmospheric pressure required to assist a column of mercury. The blood pressure has diastolic and systolic blood pressure. The diastolic pressure is the pressure created between heart beats and should be lesser than 90mm Hg while the systolic pressure in the vessels during the heart beats is expected to be lesser than 140mm Hg.
Hypertension is a common disease of the contemporary civilization. Hypertension is the way your body retains water and prevents it from dehydration. Retaining salt is seen to be comparatively more than earlier times. This salt retained in the blood vessels holds water. This is called as osmotic effect and as water is not given away through kidney or through urine it increases the blood pressure. However, everyone is not sensitive to salt at the same levels. Yet, this is noted that the population of today eats more salt than the people of the past. It is observed that nearly twice or thrice the times the salt intake has increased and these habits are showing adverse effects on the health such as resulting in increased blood pressure.
The potato chips have lots of salt and the people of the ancient age never had anything to eat or drink also for long hours. Similarly, the ancient people did lot of work and relatively ate less food. As salt enhances the flavor of the food, many kitchens add it. Moreover, the pre-prepared, frozen foods or packaged foods have more salt and even the food makers add more salt as preservative. This should be avoided to remain disease free.
