There are three different types of antidepressants. They are tricyclics, SSRIs and MAOIs. There are also other medicines such as the heterocyclics and there are many other drugs that are related to Prozac. These are some of the drugs that have been developed recently. There are numerous antidepressants available in the market but consulting a doctor is always the best option. This is because in spite of the presence of numerous antidepressants, there are some antidepressants that cannot be used interchangeably. Due to the immense popularity that antidepressants are enjoying, awareness has been created regarding the effectiveness of these drugs. As awareness spreads the fight against depression will be successful as more and more people realize the capacity of these antidepressants.
