Employee Satisfaction – The utmost necessity.

Managing people is a tougher task than Managing a project in whole. An organization grows double folds if it takes care of its employees. There are several organizations which follow an E-Sat methodology to take care of their employees. E-Sat means Employee Satisfaction. C-Sat or Customer Satisfaction is a well known term and it is the ultimate scale to measure the market standing of an organization and its services. Similarly, E-Sat is given equal importance as C-Sat. Why it is that employees are so important?

In this world of cut throat competition, maintaining quality of services is the utmost operational objective of any organization. It is very difficult to make a new customer but it is as easy to loose ten. The common customer has become very quality conscious because he has variety to choose from. An organization would always strive to deliver the best quality consistently to survive and grow in the market. To maintain quality and standard, the organization needs to retain the work force or employees who have been giving consistent high performance. A good worker or employee is a very vulnerable part of an organization because the competitors are always in the look out of poaching them. Hence it is necessary that an employee is taken care of.

How do we know with what will an employee be satisfied?
A common man has very basic needs and desires. An average employee would want that his salary is at par with his counterparts at other places. He gets his salary on time. He gets appraised at regular intervals and he is appreciated on small and big achievements and exclusive contributions. If all these are taken care of, an organization’s E-Sat score would be at a high. In turn, the employees will never think of changing jobs. They will put in extra effort to achieve targets and thrive to over achieve them. This contribution of the employees would in turn boost the growth of the organization.

There can be volumes written on this interesting and important aspect of organizational growth. We would surely throw some light some other time.
