Every human being has a dream of possessing a house of his own. A dream house is what people dream of when they are young. However, usually people land up buying flats and apartments because of their financial limitations. Now if someone is really able to fulfill his dream of a dream house, he still generally is not satisfied when it gets completed. There are several reasons behind this dissatisfaction.
A person builds a house with his hard earned money. Belonging to a family of architects, I have come across a lot of scenarios where people are not satisfied with their newly built houses. What I have observed from these scenarios is that a person can never be satisfied. A typical common man would save all his money and take loans to build a house as per his wish. He contacts and architect and engineers to get the plan chalked out. Sometimes it takes several drawings and discussions before the owner finalizes a plan, and then starts the construction of the house. Most of the times, during the building of the house, the owner makes some changes in the older drawing and plan. There are several hurdles in the process of building a house. When the house is finally built, the owner starts staying in his dream house happily. After some time, he starts experiencing small hiccups in living in the house. It is right that when one starts living in a house, only then does he realize what more or less could have been done to suit more convenience. Sometimes the owner starts thinking that he has wasted so much money in building a house. This is actually human psychology. A human being can never be satisfied. We always tend to ask for more when we get something that was actually out of our reach.
Making a Dream House is a real gamble. Once made it cannot be demolished and rebuilt. Hence, lets keep our dreams practical, unless we are multi billionaires.
