Drunk driving car crash

There are more cars being sold than the number of babies being born across the globe (this will be true very soon). Let us not deny the fact that every home in the neighborhood has one or more cars. Considering the fact that almost all kind of people and all homes have at least one car, it becomes a big issue how that is used by people during what time. Cars help us a lot to move across from one place to the other in a fastest manner. Apart from that, it helps a family to move from place to place, and also carry goods.

We all know that even though there are lots of advantages of this hugely used vehicle, there have also been situations where these have proved to be fatal. Major death reason in US is accounted by the car crashes on the fast lane highways. A head to head collision of two cars can mean death on the spot for the people traveling inside the cars. These accidents keep happening even after taking the utter most care while driving. The number of cars per road has increased tremendously in recent years. Needless to say, this has increased the probability of death on the road.

But our concern here is the deaths that happen because of the accidents caused by the drunken driving. In fact this also is a major portion of the accidents involving cars. Many people get drunk beyond certain limits and then indulge in driving which has higher probability of accidents. A measure called Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) is used to measure to what extent a driver is drunk. If the value crosses 0.08% then the person can be arrested under the charges of drunken driving.

It's a responsibility of the family also to make sure that the family members who drive the car are not getting drunk before driving. When alcohol is consumed, it alters one's perception of reality and also increases the reaction time. When the drunken driver comes across anything that he might hit with his car, it'd take him more time to perceive it and react to it, leading to a higher probability of accidents. Being a responsible and intelligent citizen, at least one should make sure that even if one drinks, he doesn't drive and hence making sure that innocent people are safe.

In most of the accidents which happen because of the drunken drivers, more than the drunken driver; it's the other people who suffer. Matter make it worst when the other vehicle involved in it has no fault of its. In these kinds of cases the driver who is drunk and was driving is held responsible.
