Catwalk size zero

Size Zero is a very controversial topic in the field of modeling and fashion. It refers to the using of underweight models for advertising products. It is a topic that has drawn a lot of attention right since it was brought into world's attention. Size Zero models are always sought after by modeling companies. This pressurizes the models to skip eating so that they look thin. This results in many models having eating disorders or some serious health problem. So, worldwide attention has been paid to this issue and there have been a lot of changes in the fashion industry so that healthy models are used. This problem has been virtually solved but there are some times when designers use thin models

Models are usually thin and healthy but there are times when they try to become slimmer. At times like these, a few of them find unhealthy means of becoming thin so increase their modeling opportunities and chances to earn some more money by modeling for some top designers. This can cause serious problems to the models ranging from health problems to even life threatening situations. Most of the high profile fashion shows have banned thin models because of health as well as numerous other reasons. This may seem like an extreme measure, but it is done to benefit the models who go to any extent to reduce their body weight. There is also a belief that most samples are made for the models having a size of about eight to ten and this creates a lot of pressure on the other models.

This is not only for female models; even male models face this problem. The result of their extreme slimming efforts are that they appear like a skinny school boy. This results in some of them actually taking drugs that have a very bad effect upon a person's health after some months. Skinny models are always available when they are about sixteen years of age. The others have to make efforts and to lose weight in a very short duration of time is not an easy task. So they begin to skip food and this causes eating disorders. Though organizers of most fashion shows do say that the health of the models is the top priority, the numbers of skinny models who parade the catwalks remain quite high. In spite of numerous efforts, size zero models continue to be a huge problem. This is a problem that does not appear to subside in the present or in the near future.
