They help you clean out the mouth thoroughly even behind the wires where normal toothbrushes cannot reach. These toothbrushes have very soft rounded bristles which can brush the delicate gums also. It however takes longer to clean the teeth as compared to regular tooth brush and there is a special technique of brushing required. You have to gently brush against the gums moving in small circles around the clumps which will remove the food particles that are stuck around the wires. You even have to push the toothbrush under the wires from above and below to get better results.
