How do dolphins communicate

Learning how do dolphins communicate has been a puzzle that scientists have been trying to solve for decades. So far, we know that how do dolphins communicate consists of a series of whistles, clicks and other noises they make with their bodies, including slapping the water with their tails. However, though we know what mechanisms are used in how do dolphins communicate, we still do not know exactly what dolphins are saying when they make these noises and sounds. That is, we still are unable to hold a conversation between ourselves and dolphins.
Nevertheless, the insights we do now have on how do dolphins communicate are quite remarkable and speak to the intelligence of dolphins. Watching how do dolphins communicate is quite intriguing and can be best seen when dolphins work together to hunt for food. When hunting, dolphins will often herd a large school of fish into a small bait ball and allow individual dolphins to swim through it and fee. This type of corporation takes a lot of communication, and though we are not entirely sure how do dolphins communicate, watching them hunt together is proof enough that they definitely communicate to one another.
Another time that you can observe how do dolphins communicate is when they are playing. When jumping and swimming together, dolphins make many noises and echo them back and forth. This show one way of how do dolphins communicate through the clicking and whistling noise they make themselves. Oftentimes during play dolphins will also jump out of the water and slap their tails against the water, this also shows another way of how do dolphins communicate.
The intelligence evidenced by how dolphins do communicate is quite impressive and this intelligence has been the subject of many tests over the years. This intelligence has also been put to the test through dolphins being trained to perform certain tasks, such as performing in aquarium shows, helping fishermen by driving fish toward the fishermen, and also help military personnel by finding underwater mines and even divers that may be enemies.
This intelligence and also the kindness dolphins show other dolphins and other species has made them hold a special place in the hearts of many people for quite a while. This is best evidenced by dolphin themed shows. such as Flipper in the United States of America. This can also been seen by the number of novels that have been written over the years that center around dolphins, such as Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell. Though written nearly half a century ago now, this novel is still a favorite among middle school aged children.
