As a woman, you should realize that you have to be in your best health to do your mom-job to the best of your ability.

Moms are like hyper charged toys without a switch off button. If at times, her problems are not physical, then they are psychological. Working mothers always find it hard to spent quality time with their kids and keep fretting over this devil-and the-deep-sea –dilemma. For most working mothers, guilt is as much a part of their daily routine as their work itself.

It is certainly important for every woman to take care of herself exclusively apart from her family to enjoy healthy and long life. Make sure you go for yearly health check-ups related to blood sugar, thyroid, lipid profile and your total blood count. Don’t forget to get a mammogram and Pap smear test too. Also go in for bone densitometry and hormone profiles to check the onset of menopause.

Remember that exercising always works, so hit the nearest gym without wasting anytime. If possible, try working out five days a week. Include weight training exercises in your fitness schedule as they help in reducing the chances of suffering from osteoporosis, at the same time increases your basal metabolic rate. Cardiovascular exercises are the best way to de-stress yourself. Also you can opt for swimming, jogging and enroll yourself in dancing classes if you have spare time to keep yourself fit and healthy.

Take up a formal creative hobby along with your child, which you both can enjoy at the same time doing together. Trust me, as you learn together to sketch or strum guitar or roll sushi, you will both tap into each other’s time and mind. Also, both of you can grow together at your own pace.

Eat lots of antioxidants rich foodstuff, green veggies, falconoid in your diet to detoxify your body. It will help in countering ageing process plus bust the stress factor in your life. Remember that calcium is the most vital nutrient for women. Unless you are lactose intolerant, have at least half liter of milk in the form of milk or its products every day.
