Children’s room decoration

With spring round the corner it’s time to revamp the room of your toddler. While decorating the room of a child his choice and preferences must be kept in mind. For instance if your daughter is fond of Barbie it’s pointless decorating her room with images of Mickey mouse all over the place. However, that does not mean you hire a designer to offer a facelift to the children’s room. Smart colors with bright shades are the best for the children. Children have a different world of their own. Allow your child to grow in his world as you make his dream a reality. For a single child the bed can be arranged in any way. One can also go for a bed side study table for the kid. However, if you have more than two children sharing a single room you would have to use a lot of creativity. For instance allow your children their share of privacy by going for bunk beds. The bunks should be neither too high nor too low. With bunk beds in the room, soft carpet flooring is an absolute essential.

Walls and Furniture
Children’s room decoration allows you to opt for multiple colors while painting the walls. In fact you can easily use leftover wall paints. After offering a base quote on the walls, allow your kids to do a touch up. That way they themselves will be responsible for keeping the walls clean and free of marks. If you want to put up a particular theme paint some of the characters or keep some soft toys that match with the theme. For instance, if the children love Harry Potter one can easily attach a long stick to an ordinary broom and keep it at one corner of the children’s room. A false magic stick can also do wonders!

The writing desk and study table for the kids should be well lit. Instead of keeping more than one table a single large table may be divided among siblings by demarcating the area with the help of bright colors. Bright chairs and smart cupboards are also essential for children’s room decoration. However, furniture with sharp edges or complicated hinges must be avoided in children’s room decoration. While opting for book racks and book cases its always best to go for wooden ones. For children may not be able to handle glass covered delicate book racks.

Toys
It is always best to have the carpet flooring in children’s room. For most of the times they love to use the floor for drawing or playing. Toy baskets are an essential part of all kinds of children’s room decoration. Smaller toys must be kept in a separate basket but soft toys and teddy bears along with tin robots may be allowed their own space. It is impossible to insist for a spick and span room when it comes to kids. Hence children should be allowed to decorate their own room with only little help from the adults.
