Travelling with kids need a lot of patience, planning and preparation. Note down all the daily essentials you need for the kid in a checklist, it would be very easy for you and will not forget anything if you have jotted down. Then, your trip would be enjoyable without any hassles.

The checklist below may help you in organising your kids' stuff when you are planning an outdoor long trip.
· Keep warm clothes, thermal wear, gloves, blankets and jackets for the kids as a precautionary measure because the weather changes unconditionally in some places and sometimes you may not be aware of this.
· Donot forget to take a first-aid kit with you and it should contain basic medicines for cough, cold and fever, thermometer, bandages and anti-septic ointments.
· Toiletry kit for the child should have its tooth-brush, tooth-paste, bathtime lotion, soap, shampoo, moisturising lotion, towel and a comb.
· Other necessary items to pack in your bag are wet wipes, extra diapers, dry tissues, changing mat if you are travelling with a baby, nappy-rash cream and nappy disposal bags.
· Carry a pair of sun-glasses, hats and sunscreen lotion for kids if you are planning to go to a beach or a hot place.
· Non-spill water bottles and cups would help them to drink juice and milk and keep a pair of bibs to avoid any spilling in the vehicle while it is moving.
· Without proper food children may become fussy and cranky, to avoid such situation carry few cans of ready-to-eat food, food items like biscuits, wafers, bread and dry fruits with you as they may not like the food which you get in the surrounding place.
· Take few toys or dolls your kid likes the most so that it can be engaged with it when you are driving or concentrating on some other work.
· Include an easy-to-handle stroller in your checklist.
· Pack a set of CD's which your kid likes to listen at all times.
· Make a list of hospitals, medical care centres and their contact numbers located near your hotel for immediate consultation in case of emergency.

With the help of this checklist you can work on building up your own list which comprises of many more essential things both for your kid and family depending upon the number of days you are planning for a trip.
